Century Racing Club is thrilled with the £65,000 acquisition of Big Boy Barney, a brown gelding sired by the illustrious stallion Doyen.

Barney exemplifies the qualities we seek in our purchases: agility, athleticism, and a natural talent for jumping.

His debut win left a strong impression. He navigated the course with ease and displayed remarkable tenacity in the final stretch, battling gamely to the line. Considering this was his first race against seasoned competitors, we are confident he has significant potential for growth and success in the upcoming season and beyond. The form of this race has worked out well, with the fifth-placed Getaway Vic winning his next two races.

We aim to have Barney in the Century Racing Colours in late February 2025.

Renowned trainer Fergal O’Brien will train Big Boy Barney at RAVENSWELL FARM (Cheltenham). The top-notch facilities help ensure that our horses are given the best training possible, maximising their chances of success on the track.

Shares remaining at £2750 + VAT  per share. No added fees until October 2026, then £89.00 inclusive of VAT pcm.
