Lord Chamberlain, an easy winner by 12 lengths on handicap debut, is offered by the new Hatch A Plan Syndicate from 5% and upwards on a lease basis with no upfront purchase costs.

The five-year-old son of Derby winner Masar has improved with hurdling experience and settled better on his latest start, his fourth over hurdles. This ex-flat racer has shown a progressive profile, and there should be a lot more to come from him on good ground, so he should provide plenty of fun – and hopefully more wins – throughout the summer jumps season.

Having produced two promising jumpers in his first crop (Stencil and Robbies Rock, 2nd in the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival), Masar was snapped up by Sunnyhill Stud as a National Hunt stallion. Lord Chamberlain is from the same crop, and we hope he can get to a similar level. His dam side also gives encouragement as his granddam is the Group 1 winner of the French Oaks, Confidential Lady, from a strong Chieveley Park family.

Ryan Hatch trains in the Cotswolds near the picturesque village of Naunton, very close to the Twiston-Davies yard, whose gallops they use.

Their small string gets the closest of attention, and syndicate members will also get the opportunity to see Lord Chamberlain run in their chosen colours, via a draw between all owners involved.

We are excited to offer such a progressive young horse and hope to welcome you to the yard for a morning on the gallops or at the racecourse for some exciting days out.
