Emerald Time is a very progressive five-year-old hurdler and winner of two of his last three races, latterly a 0-120 at Uttoxeter beating the well-regarded favourite. He has always worked very well, but was initially a bit too keen in his races. With experience, he’s now relaxing much better, and it is no surprise to us that he has won twice recently. We fully expect him to continue on his upward trajectory and he may well jump a fence later down the line.

For £150 per month you can have one of the ten 5% lease shares offered in Emerald Time (the owner of the horse is keeping a 50% interest), which means the maximum number of shareholders will be 11. He is by the Group/Grade 1-placed and supremely bred stallion Time Test out of dual bumper winner Pitter Patter.

Time Test is a son of Dubawi out of the Group 1 winner Passage Of Time, who went off favourite in The Oaks. A dual Group 2 winner and third in the Group 1 Eclipse Stakes, Time Test is from a top Juddmonte family.

Pitter Patter won her first two starts in bumpers for Fergal O’Brien. By the multiple middle-distance Group 1 winner Nayef, she has speed on her damside, being out of the daughter of Pivotal, Pixie Ring, who won both her racecourse starts over 6f at two.

Like his dam, Emerald Time displayed above-average ability in bumpers when fourth on debut and runner-up at Warwick. He showed greenness over hurdles in his first two starts, but that should improve with racing, and he should be very competitive this year once he can run in handicaps. We are offering lease shares of 5% and upwards with no capital outlay. In return, we want to give you the best ownership experience possible.

Ryan is a former Grade 1 and Cheltenham Festival-winning jockey before his riding career was cut short by injury. Very fortunately, the team have secured a yard in Naunton, a picturesque Cotswold location, a short walk from the gallops they use at Nigel Twiston-Davies’ yard. Those same gallops have produced a Gold Cup winner, two Grand National winners and countless other Grade 1 performers.
